Why Vance Flip-Flopping On Trump Makes Him The Perfect Trumper

Wednesday cannot come fast enough, especially if you’re a citizen of Ohio who has to pay attention to the insane primary Republicans are holding to choose who will be nominated to replace Rob Portman in the Senate. A recent ad from the Political Action Committee Ohio Leads (not to be confused with the progressive PAC Lead Ohio) accusing Vance of flip flopping on Trump, comparing him to Hitler and — a possibly worse offense in the mind of Trump supporters — saying he might vote for Hillary Clinton. (Vance later voted for the independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin.)

I should note, on the webpage specifically for this ad, a note at the bottom of the screen reads:

Paid for by Ohio Leads PAC. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.

However, this does not make Ohio Leads an unbiased source, as their front page makes it clear they’ve endorsed former Ohio Republican Party Chair Jane Timken. Timken was made the chair of Ohio’s Republican Party specifically on the promise that she would advance Donald Trump’s agenda — making her a favorite among the party insiders who choose the chair.

Everybody knows that J.D. Vance flip-flopped on Donald Trump, it is something that many commentators have noted about him. However, that did not stop Donald Trump
