Why I’m Against Gays Against Grooming

This article is dedicated to a man named Max Amundo, who tweeted the following in response to Printful announcing they will no longer be working with the group Gays Against Grooming:

Too late! Damage is done. If you are not in support of @againstgrmrs then that makes you for what exactly?

Wait until this fellow finds out that I also disagree with many statements made by the Ministry of Truth. However, given the Orwellianly named organization Gays Against Groomers has become a bigger source of news as of late, I think it’s time I finally give them a dedicated article. To begin with, here is how they describe themselves on the about page of their website:

Gays Against Groomers is a coalition of gay people who oppose the recent trend of indoctrinating, sexualizing and medicalizing children under the guise of “LGBTQIA+”

First off, I can’t help but find it funny that they talk about “sexualizing . . . children” while the “A” in “LGBTQIA+” stands for “asexual,” or lack of sexual attraction towards others. In the same regard, I find it funny that they say they oppose “medicalizing children,” while the “I” in the same acronym stands for “intersex,” and the biggest fight regarding intersex rights is the fight against surgery on the genitals of intersex people before they are old enough to consent.

I decided to check the blog section of their website, and what I found was truly disturbing. Among their first articles shown is an 11/21/2022 piece with the headline “Radicals are Putting Our Community in Danger: Insight into the Colorado Springs Shooting.” You see, according to Judith Rose — the author of the article — it’s actually the fault of the LGBT community for being so damn extreme:

Our community needs to hold itself accountable. Instead of progress, this extreme behavior has set the gay community back into a space where our existence and rights are yet again under scrutiny.

Rose specifically cites the fact that corporations have dared to disrespect the nation of Qatar as part of the problem:
