No, [AOC] should respect the vastly greater expertise of Ms. Pelosi, who knows the political process inside and out.
What has Pelosi done? At the end of the day, she won a bunch of house elections. They both won super left-wing districts (seriously, Pelosi is from San Francisco), the only difference was Pelosi was the handpicked successor to the previous representative of that district, Cortez wasn’t.
Do you argue with your doctor about your treatment? Do you tell your dentist how to repair your teeth? Do you lecture your attorney about the law? Would you tell the pilot how to fly the plane?
No but I’m not a doctor, dentist, attorney, or pilot. Cortez is a member of Congress. Like her or hate her, this is an undeniable fact. Pelosi does not treat any other member of Congress other than the ones who criticize her like this.
Or as I said a sentence after you quote me:
As if [Cortez] isn’t also an elected member of Congress, . . . I recall Feinstein saying she was just elected as a response to why she didn’t support the Green New Deal, as if Cortez just fell out of the sky.
No, Cortez is not an expert, she’s still a member of Congress.
No, some Democrats differ with you.
Did you miss the part when I said:
As someone who considers himself a capitalist, I do side with Pelosi much more often than I do Cortez.
Or this:
When Alexandra Ocasio Cortez defeated Joe Crowley in the primary back in 2018, it showed there was some mandate among Democrats for more socialist ideas (ideas, again, I disagree with).
In conclusion: Try reading what I write before writing a response.
