Viktor Orban Is An Authoritarian Fraud

On 8/2/2021, Fox News host Tucker Carlson (host of Tucker Carlson Tonight, staring Tucker Carlson) decided to do something different with his show. He began:

Good evening and welcome to Tucker Carlson Tonight. We’re coming to you this evening from Budapest, Hungary right over the Danube River. It’s a place we’re going to be telling you a lot about in the coming days.

Tucker said that every American should be paying attention to what’s going on in Hungary, saying:

If you care about western civilization and democracy and families and the ferocious assault on all three of those things by the leaders of our global institutions, you should know what is happening here right now. But more on that to come, a lot more.

Of course, Tucker has been singing the praises of Hungary, and its leader Viktor Orban, for years. Here’s Carlson in 2019 praising Orban’s “pro-natal” policies the Hungarian government came up with in hopes of causing women to have more children:

Hungary’s Leaders actually care about making sure their own people thrive. Instead of promising the nation’s wealth to every illegal immigrant from the 3rd world they’re using tax dollars to uplift their own people, imagine that.
