The Media Goes To Bat For Trump, Loses Its Last Bit Of Credibility In The Process

On 7/27/2021, PressRun’s Eric Boehlert published an article criticizing how many mainstream media outlets were covering the 1/6 Commission. The outlets criticize include The Washington Post, NBC News, The New York Times, Politico, CNN, and ABC News. Fairness and Accuracy In Reporting (FAIR) expanded upon this in their own article on 8/2/2021.

Of course, The New York Times is the same newspaper that recently ran an op-ed mocking General Mark Milley for comparing Trump’s actions to a coup, so while their actions may be disappointing, they are far from surprising.

Sources like PressRun and Fairness and Accuracy In Reporting (along with the obvious inclusion of Media Matters) all do amazing jobs calling out media bias when they see it. For decades, conservatives have complained that the mainstream media is bias against them.
