The Gay Two Minutes Of Hate

Today marks the first day of July, meaning that Pride Month is over. However, given that both the worst and most confusing incident of metaphorical gay bashing on social media happened this month, you can guess that many people felt this month was a failure.

On 6/27/2022, a gimmick account on Twitter called @every_lesbian, where a bot tweets out the word “lesbian” before a random word, posted the tweet “lesbian bi.” Mind you, as mentioned before, this account appears to run on a random word generator, something which most people understood when the account tweeted out things like “lesbian retards” and “lesbian niger.” (Possibly in reference to the African country and not the racial slur — although, I highly doubt it was “in reference” to anything, because, again, it’s a bot ran by a random word generator.)

Many twitter users even asked their followers to unfollow this account for such a terrible transgression, and the quote tweets are filled with nothing short of vile and hatred for this bot. As one Twitter user named @CapriTheUnruly put it in a tweet from 6/28/2022:

This was like 9/11 for 14 year old she/theys who have never spoken with a queer person in real life
