In 1984, two men named Chrisopher Cerf and Victor Navasky edited a book entitled The Experts Speak: The Definite Compendium Of Authoritative Misinformation. In this hilarious book, the two men compile many quotes from authorities that are total nonsense by today's standards. Going through such hits as a film critic for The New Yorker saying The Wizard Of Oz “displays no trace of imagination, good taste, or ingenuity,” the President of Digital Equipment Corporation saying “there is no reason for any individual to have a computer in their home,” and a Decca Record Company executive turning down The Beatles because “groups of guitars are on the way out.”

The two rejoined in 2008 to edit together the also quite funny Mission Accomplished! Or How We Won The War In Iraq: The Experts Speak.

In their honor, I have deiced to look at some quotes from the experts over the past three months on the current epidemic we are facing. As I mentioned time and time again on Peaceful Globalist Review, my podcast, the administration is the one to blame for this pandemic in the first place.

Here are various people who are close to the President, rather they be his fellow Republicans, members of the administration, apologists for it, or the man himself, on this topic.

Enjoy:

No, the Coronavirus won’t become a pandemic. Not at all. —President Donald Trump, 1/22/2020

I think this is going to come and it’s going to go. I think we have it under control I think that President Trump’s task force is magnificent. — Fox News Commentator Manny Alvarez, 2/4/2020

I can’t believe how well they are handling this. The proof is in the pudding. We have 15 people in the United States with it. That’s it. No one has died. The case in Washington got an experimental drug, recovered. — Fox News Commentator Marc Siegel, 2/17/2020

Prayers for the people of China. The Coronavirus was leaked on purpose to stop the protests. And now they are being rounded up or locked inside of their apartments & murdered under the guise of being quarantined. This is just another reason why we will NEVER give up our guns. — Educating Liberals, 2/18/2020

Congratulations to you, to the administration, and to the president for what you are doing, because within this country, it seems to be under control. — Fox Business Host Lou Dobbs, 2/18/2020

The Democrats are politicizing the Coronavirus. This is their new hoax. — President Donald Trump, 2/20/2020

The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA. We are in contact with everyone and all relevant countries. CDC & World Health have been working hard and very smart. Stock Market starting to look very good to me! — President Donald Trump, 2/24/2020

We have contained this, I won’t say airtight but pretty close to airtight — National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow, 2/25/2020

But what Americans need to know, that our president is doing everything has power to keep us safe. And we have it contained in this country, by having a 14 day quarantine, a ban from foreign nationals traveling into this country, screening at the airports. — Fox News Commentator Janette Nesheiwat, 2/25/2020

If — look, folks, it is what it is. The media wants it to be what it not yet is. Now, it could be, it could evolve, and who knows what it can — right now, the media is reporting on the coronavirus as they hope it evolves. They hope for hurricanes — on the first day of hurricane season, they hope for Hurricane Katrina so they can say “climate change,” anything to advance the leftist agenda. Now, the leftist agenda includes getting rid of Trump. They would love for the coronavirus to be this deadly strain that wipes everybody out, so they could blame Trump for it. — Radio Host Rush Limbaugh, 2/25/2020

Watching the media coverage today, it seemed like some of the Trump haters were actually relishing in this moment. A new avenue it was, coronavirus, that is a new pathway for hitting President Trump. — Fox News Host Laura Ingraham, 2/25/2020

You have 15 people with Coronavirus, and the 15 within a couple of day is going to be down to close to zero. That’s a pretty good job we’ve done. —President Donald Trump, 2/26/2020

So, we have it under control, it’s contained, we have the resources to keep it contained. — Fox News Commentator Janette Nesheiwat, 2/26/2020

You’re gonna hear about the coronavirus all day long. The stock market, by the way, is trying to rebound from it. The stock market, last I saw, was up a couple or 300 points, the Dow Jones Industrial Average. So they want to come back from it. Everybody knows that there has been this gigantic overreaction to this, as there always is when the media and the Democrat political complex gets in gear, when they think they found something that can do great damage to Trump. — Radio Host Rush Limbaugh, 2/26/2020

Yet more unsettling [than coronavirus] is something happening right here in the United States. And it’s not medical. It’s political. Democrats and their media cronies have decided to weaponize fear and also weaponize suffering to improve their chances against trump in November. — Fox News Host Laura Ingraham, 2/26/2020

But I want to assure the American people that we’re going to make sure that, for our part, we set politics aside on this, and we work the problem. I, frankly, have been very encouraged, not only in my conversation with Governor Newsom, with the Democrat leadership of the House and Senate, with Governor Cuomo of New York. We are all going to come together as Americans and deal with this issue and put the health and safety of the American people first. — Vice President Mike Pence, 2/28/2020

One of my people came up to me and said, ‘Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia. That didn’t work out too well. They couldn’t do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything, they tried it over and over, they’ve been doing it since you got in. It’s all turning, they lost, it’s all turning. Think of it. Think of it. And this is their new hoax. But you know, we did something that’s been pretty amazing. We’re 15 people [cases of coronavirus infection] in this massive country. And because of the fact that we went early, we went early, we could have had a lot more than that. — President Donald Trump, 2/28/2020

Senator, if I could get you to respond to what we’re watching in the lower part of our screen there. We’re watching the Dow Jones Industrial Average, a snapshot of our markets. The S&P 500, the NASDAQ — they are plunging this week responding to growing fears over the spread of this virus. Obviously, there’s speculation it could get worse. Some say, like the president, it could miraculously disappear. — Fox News Host Sandra Smith, 2/28/2020

BOOM: The DOW surged up nearly 1,300 points — the largest single day point gain in history The media endlessly reported on the points lost as part of their coronavirus scare tactics Will they cover this historic gain fairly? RT so they can’t ignore! — Charlie Kirk, 3/2/2020

They can say whatever they want, he honored Israel. Obama honored the enemies of Israel; Trump honors Israel, and it’s a massive difference. And because of that, I predict America will be minimally affected by coronavirus — Pastor Jonathan Shuttlesworth, 3/2/2020

While the novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, can be scary, Americans should remember we’ve experienced other disease outbreaks that we not only managed but overcame. With each occurrence we learned and strengthened our preparedness for the next. Our history with these outbreaks gives us confidence that we have the knowledge, tools and talent to address COVID-19. — Surgeon General Jerome Adams, 3/3/2020

Well, I think the 3.4% is really a false number. Now, this is just my hunch, and — but based on a lot of conversations with a lot of people that do this, because a lot of people will have this, and it’s very mild. They will get better very rapidly. They don’t even see a doctor. They don’t even call a doctor. — President Donald Trump, 3/4/2020

Of course, people are getting nervous. And listen, I’m not a doctor. I’m not a doctor. All I know is, think about how the world would be if you tried to quarantine everybody because of the generic-type flu. Now I’m not saying this is the generic-type flu. But maybe we’d be just better off if we gave it to everybody, and then in a month it would be over because the mortality rate of this probably isn’t going to be any different if we did it that way than the long-term picture, but the difference is we’re wreaking havoc on global and domestic economies. — CNBC Commentator Rick Santelli, 3/5/2020

And let me tell you something, this virus should be compared to the flu. Because at worst, at worst, worst case scenario it could be the flu. — Fox News Commentator Marc Siegel, 3/6/2020

Remember a hurricane, remember an earthquake, remember tornadoes — can you remember any natural disaster where the Trump administration is thought to have really blown it, meaning the recovery, the aftermath? No, you can’t, because they haven’t blown it. Trump himself is a fixer. Trump himself is a builder. Trump himself is somebody that deals with these kinds of crises, with this kind of daily chaos. He’s been doing it his entire life in his primary business. — Radio Host Rush Limbaugh, 3/6/2020

Common sense would indicate to me that the coronavirus will mutate in the homeless populations in America. You have diseased people in the streets of America — New York, Chicago, San Francisco, mainly on the West Coast in the sick, disgusting state that I live in — festering with illness. And they are a petri dish with depressed immune systems from the overuse of illegal drugs — shooting up drugs, snorting drugs, not eating properly, laying in their own feces, eating their own feces in some cases. There is a high likelihood that the coronavirus will latch onto some of these people and mutate in the homeless populations. — Radio Host Michael Savage, 3/6/2020

So all the talk about coronavirus being so much more deadly doesn’t reflect reality. Without a vaccine, the flu would be far more deadly. — Fox News Host Jeanine Pirro, 3/7/2020

So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that! — President Donald Trump, 3/9/2020

Alright, so that’s the point. I mean they’re scaring the living hell out of people. And I see it again as like oh, OK, let’s bludgeon Trump with this new hoax. — Fox News Host Sean Hannity, 3/9/2020

You know, watching the coverage of this and the ongoing effort to create a panic — and let’s make no mistake here that that’s exactly what is happening here — I finally came up with what I think is a good analogy. The coronavirus is like a hurricane several days away from making landfall. — Radio Host Rush Limbaugh, 3/10/2020

I’m scratching my head when I compare the numbers, the CDC’s numbers on the number of people who’ve contracted the flu this year, this flu season, 32 million people — 20,000 people have died from the flu, from influenza. This is a more potent virus, there’s no question about that. Nobody’s arguing that. But the response, again, is just irrational — I think part because the media has been, you know, just pounding it. — Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, 3/11/2020

Well, look. I know. We’ve had movies about contagions and pathogens and the Andromeda strain and the lurking possibility that one of these things could come along and wipe out everybody and this might be the one that’s going to do that, even though there isn’t any evidence of it. — Radio Host Rush Limbaugh, 3/11/2020

This media hysteria over China Virus is irresponsible. Disease deaths per day worldwide: COVID-19–56 Seasonal Flu — 1,027 Pneumonia — 2,216 Tuberculosis — 3,014 Media mentions of Tuberculosis: 2.9 million Media mentions of China Virus: 1.1 BILLION They need to calm down. — Charlie Kirk, 3/12/2020

20,000 Americans have died from the flu this year compared to only 39 from the Coronavirus — half of which came from a nursing home in WA. Combine that with the 99.7% survival rate for ages under 50 & none of this mass hysteria makes any sense. Turn off the MSM. — Educating Liberals, 3/12/2020

Explanations for this utterly irrational panic over the Chinese virus: Trump-haters know the Talking Snake media will whip everybody into a frenzy, they will all blame Trump, and a gullible public will believe them. As long as they get Trump, they don’t care what happens to US. — Radio host Bryan Fischer, 3/12/2020

Massive closing of businesses, concerts, etc not only tanks the stock market, but leads to massive unemployment. We are trusting the DEMOCRATIC mayors and governors not to be unnecessarily doing it to affect the election. 100 times more Flu deaths and never closings. — Radio Host Mark Simone, 3/12/2020

It’s actually the safest time to fly. Everyone I know that’s flying right now, terminals are pretty much dead. Ghost towns. And then the planes — remember back in the day when you had a seat next to you, possibly empty, you could stretch out a little more? It’s like that on every flight now. — Fox News Commentator Ainsley Earhardt, 3/13/2020

We’re shutting down our country because of the — the cold virus, which is what coronaviruses are. This is COVID-19, the 19th version of the coronavirus. We’re shutting it — can you imagine our enemies watching this? You think the Chinese are not laughing themselves silly over how easy this has been? And it continues. This has been easy. — Radio Host Rush Limbaugh, 3/13/2020

If you are healthy, you and your family, it’s a great time to just get out and go to a local restaurant. — Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), 3/15/2020

Not ONE media outlet has asked about George Soros’s involvement in this FLU panic. He is SOMEWHERE involved in this. — David Clarke, 3/15/2020

I went to visit my mom this weekend and she made me wear gloves to come inside of her house. She is suspicious that I might have coronavirus. I wore the gloves all afternoon in the house. That’s what it is. I didn’t take the social distancing that seriously Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night, I went out to dinner here in the city. — Fox News Host Jesse Watters, 3/16/2020
