The Behavior Isn’t The Issue, The Hypocrisy Is

Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert has recently been accused of both being a sex worker earlier in her life and having two abortions when she was younger. At time of writing, nothing has been confirmed, although she has said that these accusations are totally false. The claims were originally made by American Muckrakers PAC — who helped uncover the proven fact that Madison Cawthorn dressed in drag in early years — who claim that she met clients through a website, one of which later introduced her to Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

Personally, I have no idea if the allegations are true or not, although American Muckrakers PAC has proven itself to be a valid source in the past so I am at least willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. With that said, it should be noted that, if these are true, my issue would never be that Boebert did this, but that she now hides it and tries to take the right to do it away from other women. Charles Booker, a Democrat running for Senate against Rand Paul in Kentucky, summed up my opinion perfectly with this tweet from 6/14/2022:

If Lauren Boebert made the deeply personal decision to have an abortion, it is her right. I believe that right must be protected for all women.
