Republicans: They All Blur Together After Awhile

House Republicans recently decided to give House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy a standing ovation because he did not turn on Donald Trump while testifying to the January 6th Commission. The same week this happened, Fox News host Tucker Carlson called Kevin McCarthy a plant placed by the Democratic Party.

Mind you, if Kevin McCarthy really were some kind of secret Democrat — he’s doing really well keeping it hidden. McCarthy was at the meeting the night Obama was elected where a bunch of high profile Republican politicians declared they would do everything possible to stop him from passing anything. McCarthy has also been a loyal stooge to Donald Trump, never breaking with him publicly during the four years Trump was President.

None of this is to say that McCarthy is on the same level as someone like Lauren Boebert in terms of rhetoric, but rhetoric is not the only thing that matters when it comes to politics. Boebert might back up her positions with more insane claims or bigger lies, but McCarthy and Boebert both support all the same things. McCarthy and all Republicans support the same things, because the Republican Party is one uniformed blob at this point that does nothing besides worship Donald Trump.
