On 12/24/2021, Nancy Kelley, the Chief Executive of the British LGBT rights organization Stonewall, appeared on Al Jazeera to talk about transphobia in the United Kingdom. Of course, Al Jazeera is funded by the government of Qatar, which has laws on the books that punish homosexuality with seven years in prison for non-Muslims and the death penalty for Muslims.

Mind you, Al Jazeera is one of those networks that will completely change their opinions based on who they think they’re talking too. English Al Jazeera is known for being extremely progressive, and that’s likely all the thought Nancy Kelley gave it when she heard this network wanted to give her a platform to talk about something she’s passionate about in front of an audience of nearly three-hundred million people.

Still, a large number of people — mostly LGB Alliance members — were angry with Kelley for doing this. One user by the name of Belstaffie, for example, tweeted the following:

Can you see the need for @ALLIANCELGB now, for homosexual men, lesbian women and bisexuals? Like many places in the world, it’s ACCEPTABLE to be “transgender”, but the death penalty is imposed on men and boys who are GAY And this lobby present that they are THE most oppressed!
