"Now, I can understand why in US people have guns. There are wild animals and some culture around them. But maybe police would have an easier time if there was a limit on which kind of guns are allowed and put limits on the ones you can carry and where."

Funny you mention that, because the US already does have both of those things:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firearm_Owners_Protection_Act

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun-Free_School_Zones_Act_of_1990

Yeah, the gun market in the United States is much more regulated than people in other parts of the world seem to realize. I remember a few years ago I saw a British person ask why "it's easier to buy machine guns" than this or that--machine guns, or fully automatic weapons, had been illegal in the United States for three decades by that point.

I'm actually curious where you are in Europe. Are you in the United Kingdom, which saw a massive increase in acid attacks in the late-2010's? How about Greenland (is Greeland in Europe--eh, they have more gun control than a handful of states so my point still stands) which has an almost identical violent crime rate to the United States?

You seem like a nice guy, but you're slightly misinformed on the issue of guns. The United States has issues regarding its gun market, but the lack of basic limits is not one of them.
