No, Female Circumcision And Male Circumcision Are Not The Same (And Other Thoughts On The Anti-Circumcision Movement)

Yesterday, a Twitter user named “Circumcision Hypocrite” decided to put me on a list he created called “Closeted Pedophiles.” This is not the only list he put me on — he also placed me on his “Advocating for childAbuse [sic]” list and “Supports FGM and MGM” list — but the “Closeted Pedophiles” one certainly was the most eye catching.

Best as I can tell, this is response to an opinion I voiced on Twitter back in December. On 12/14/2021, Lilith Lovett tweeted the following:

I know I’m extremely ahead of the times on this, but here’s your regular reminder that infant male genital mutilation needs to be outlawed the same way FGM is banned.

I criticized the tweet, saying that I did not female that female circumcision and male circumcision are comparable. Here are some of the results of female circumcision, as reported by the website Study Health:
