Mike Lindell Just Won’t Give Up

There is no bigger “true believer” in the Donald Trump cause than My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell. Specifically, there is nobody who is a bigger believer that the 2020 Presidential Election was stolen from Donald Trump than Mike Lindell.

Considering Dominion, a voting machines company that plays a central role in many of the lies about election fraud, is currently suing both One America News and Newsmax for saying they rigged the 2020 Election, one would think this might slow Lindell down. One might think Lindell being cut off during a Newsmax interview because of his claims that the election was stolen might slow him down. One might think One America News being forced to begin his documentary on the election being stolen with a disclaimer that they do not endorse any of these claims might slow him down. In all of these cases, you would be wrong, because nothing is going to slow Mike Lindell down.

Over the past couple of days, Mike Lindell has been holding a “Cyber Symposium,” with the goal of proving — once and for all, for real this time — that the 2020 election was stolen.

Here are some highlights of the event:

I want this to be your mental image of those who think the election was stolen. I want, whenever you see these claims in the future, you to think about this disorganized rally put on by Trump’s biggest cheerleader in which he makes a fool of himself.

If you want to know why Trump supporters had to attempt to overthrow the government back in January, the above is a very good introduction to your answer. The fact is, these people know that they cannot win non-rigged elections —hence why they’re so dedicated to ending democracy as we know it in order to remain in power.

Last year, Lindell made it very clear he plans on running for governor of Minnesota in 2022. No Republican has won a statewide election in Minnesota since their 2006 gubernatorial election. The Republicans who did win elections weren’t Republicans like Lindell, they were Republicans like Tim Pawlenty or Norm Coleman, who would have been Democrats in even the most moderate states. To give you an idea of just how moderate Norm Coleman was, this is what he wrote in 1993:

I am a lifelong Democrat. Some accuse me of being the fiscal conservative in this race — I plead guilty! I’m not afraid to be tight with your tax dollars. Yet, my fiscal conservatism does not mean I am any less progressive in my Democratic ideals. From Bobby Kennedy to George McGovern to Warren Spannaus to Hubert Humphrey to Walter Mondale — my commitment to the great values of our party has remained solid.

Lindell would never say something like this, and Lindell’s hyper-partisan Republican worldview is horribly unpopular in his home state.

If Lindell does run, he almost certainly knows from the start he’s going to lose. However, when he does lose, that means he can go around and scream that another election was stolen by Democrats, as is the plan.

Maybe Lindell can even run for President himself in 2024 on the Republican ticket, lose the primary, and then claim that election was stolen from him.

Of course, all of this is assuming Lindell is smart enough to plot such an amazing grift and isn’t just a raging egotist who is deep in delusion. It’s possible Lindell does actually believe that Donald Trump won the 2020 Presidential election, and that he’s going to become Minnesota's next governor — and possibly the US’s next president.

To be blunt, I have no idea what Mike Lindell has planned for the future, although I imagine no matter what it is, it’s going to fail spectacularly.
