Marriage: Between One Man And One Little Girl (And Other Short Takes)

Republicans in Tennessee have recently introduced a bill that would create another form of marriage that is only accessible to heterosexual couples — and said form of marriage also has no limit on how young the people involved with it could be. Although the bill is not intended to legalize child marriage — just give heterosexual marriages special statuses — the fact that it manages to both harm gay people and help pedophiles is the perfect representation of the Republican Party.

Look, I’m sure Pete Buttigieg is a nice guy and a great father, but he constantly comes off as a half-mutated half-wit. He looks like he was quite literally built in a lab dedicated to making people who could be successful politicians. The only reason why anyone took his 2020 Presidential Campaign seriously and why Biden made him Secretary of Transportation is because he is both gay and under the age of forty. Had he not been both gay and young, nobody would have taken him even slightly seriously.
