LGBT+ Rights Are Not Advanced By Self-Centered Homosexuals

I just want to begin by saying that, by far, the best part about being on an extended vacation was not having to read the absolute drivel that comes out of The New York Times. However, I have some catching up to do, and I plan on starting with Pamela Paul — the same woman who wrote that article saying both sides of the political spectrum are equally sexist because one wants to force women to give birth to a child they conceived because of a rape and the other says the word “vagina” or something. Her 10/23/2022 column “Let’s Say Gay” sees her not actually criticizing the “Don’t Say Gay” bill the headline is clearly referencing, but instead once again attacking the left — specifically LGBT young people — for being fine with the word “queer.” As she notes:

Only 10 years ago, for example, “queer” appeared a mere 85 times in The New York Times. As of Friday, it’s been used 632 times in 2022, and the year is not over. In the same periods, use of “gay” has fallen from 2,228 to 1,531 — still more commonly used, but the direction of the evolution is impossible to miss. Meanwhile, the umbrella term “L.G.B.T.Q.” increased from two mentions to 714.

Mind you, this would mean something if we didn’t live in a completely different civilization than we did back in 2009. In 2009, the biggest fight regarding LGBT rights was gay marriage…
