Kyle Rittenhouse Is Obviously Guilty (And Other Short Takes)

The Rittenhouse trial is a good litmus test to see who understands the actual purpose of the law and who just wants to use it as tool to punish those who they don’t like. Anyone with a basic understanding of cause and effect can tell that Kyle Rittenhouse was the aggressor and, therefore, is obviously guilty of murder. However, the people Rittenhouse shot were at a Black Lives Matter protest doing bad things, so therefore it’s actually more complicated according to people who have no understanding of the law.

Why do you think we’ve heard non-stop about how the people who were shot were also bad people — as if that has any relevance on if they were murdered or not. (For those unaware: Bad people can also be victims of murder.) Why do you think people like Matt Walsh keep talking about how we’d “rather” Rittenhouse be killed — again, as if what would have happened in a different situation has any relevance on the trial at hand. It’s because everybody realizes that Rittenhouse’s actions are indefensible, but some people want to find some way to maybe justify it.

You could never make a film like Smokey and the Bandit today. Think about it: A movie about a smuggler who outruns and outsmarts an irrational and erratic police office would be blasted today as “liberal propaganda” and part of the “war on cops.”
