J.D. Vance’s Childless Hypocrisy

Here is an incredibly weird thing Flordia Governor Ron DeSantis said while signing an Executive Order banning schools from issuing mask mandates:

I have young kids. My wife and I are not gonna do the masks with the kids, we never have. I wanna see my kids smiling. I want them having fun.

I can’t even make fun of that, that’s just an incredibly weird thing to say.

Speaking of kids, I’ve already talked about J.D. Vance’s recent comments attacking political leaders without children. Here is the comment as reported by The Federalist:

Senate candidate, former Marine, and author of “Hillbilly Elegy,” Vance specifically named Vice President Kamala Harris, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey, and transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg (three of whom are failed presidential candidates), citing them as the childless future leaders of the Democrat Party. “Why is this just a normal fact of … life, for the leaders of our country to be people who don’t have a personal and direct stake in it via their own offspring?”
