Herschel Walker Lost, But Not For The Right Reasons

Hershel Walker lost his race against Senator Raphael Warnock, giving Democrats fifty-one seats in the Senate. However, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t slightly disheartened as to why he lost. It was not how he spoke, it was his history of violence, it was not the fact that he was a total moron, it was because he was black. Had Hershel Walker been white, I have no doubt he would have won the election even if nothing about him nor his campaign changed.

For those unaware, Hershel Walker is a former football player turned politician — even playing for the United States Football League, an alternative to the National Football League that Donald Trump was heavily involved with. We’ll ignore the fact that this leads to some rumors about how he was “bred,” to use the words of the late football commentator Jimmy Synder.

To be serious, those who read this blog might remember me writing this about Walker back on 11/20/2022:

Hershel Walker is everything racists have claimed about black people — he’s inarticulate, he’s a deadbeat dad, he’s a bad husband, he has a criminal record — and Republicans are still going to vote for him.

Mind you, the statement above is leaving out several details, many of which were aviable and notable for understanding the kind of man Hershel Walker is. For…
