Glenn Greenwald Gets Ready To Rumble

There’s a very good reason why Nathan Robinson of Current Affairs made Glenn Greenwald — along with Matt Taibbi — the case study for his 6/17/2021 article “How To End Up Serving The Right.” To put it simply, as Robinson shows, over the past couple of years, the once-beloved and respected journalist Glenn Greenwald has turned into someone whose goal is to distract people from the real issues while buddying around with right-wing ideologues — or even to convince those on the left that said right-wing ideologues are on their side (this is the man who called Tucker Carlson a socialist).

As such, nobody should be surprised by the 8/12/2021 story Washington Post story “Rumble, a YouTube rival popular with conservatives, will pay creators who ‘challenge the status quo.’” Among those creators is the one, the only, Glenn Greenwald:

The Toronto-based upstart Rumble said Thursday it has struck deals with former U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, the journalist firebrand Glenn Greenwald and others who had committed to posting their videos first to the site.

I should note, there’s nothing wrong by itself with going on a platform primarily used by conservatives in order to spread your ideas.
