Did We Just All Forget Trump Was Already President?

One thing I remember about 2016 was how we all reacted to the results of the election that year — specifically, a way that many of us chose to express our dislike for the result of said election. You see, the 2016 Presidential Election was held on 11/8/2016, but many of us found out what occurred the following day, on 11/9/2016. Due to this, a short trend appeared on social media where people would compare the date of 11/9/2016 to the date of 9/11/2001. Michael Moore even took advantage of the similarities through releasing a film on Trump called Fahrenheit 11/9 in 2018, with the title being a reference to his 2004 documentary Fahrenheit 9/11.

I mention this because, given Donald Trump is the first former President to run for office since Theodore Roosevelt did so back in 1912, the fact he already got to serve four years in the White House seems like it should be of note. Take an interview he had last month where he was asked if he would declassify various documents, including those related to the JFK Assassination and the terrorist attack of 9/11/2001 — but oddly stumbled on if he’d do the same with files related to the actions of Jeffery Epstein. Of course, Donald Trump already had four years in the White House to declassify whatever documents he wanted — and he didn’t.
