Biden’s Approval: Rhetoric And Reality

On 9/5/2021, viewers of the NBC show Meet The Press were warned that Joe Biden’s approval rating had hit some kind of dangerous low. Betsy Woodruff Swan — who currently works for Politico and has previously worked for National Review and The Washington Examiner — put it, “It’s a nightmare number for the White House.”

Eric Boehlert, the man behind the blog PressRun, responded to the Meet The Press segment on Twitter by pointing out an important fact:

Biden’s “nightmare” numbers remain 10 [points] higher than were Trump was 4 [years] ago. did you *ever* hear pundits use “nightmare” language when Trump was polling 34% in 2017?

It’s not only NBC that is warning of Biden’s unpopularity. On 9/4/2021, The New York Times published an article by Jamelle Bouie with the headline “How Has Joe Biden Become So Unpopular?

The New York Times has recently been on an all out crusade against Joe Biden. This same week, they also ran the headline “Biden, Still Grieving His Son, Finds That Not Everyone Wants to Hear About It,” which got so much backlash they actually had to edit it on their website.

On 9/7/2021, Bret Stephens published a column titled “Another Failed Presidency at Hand,” which argues that the Biden Administration — which has not even been in office eight months at time of writing…
