Are Transgender People Getting “Sloppy Care”?

On 10/7/2021, Bari Weiss — the woman who resigned from The New York Times last year because she was mad people on Twitter were criticizing her newspaper — tweeted the following:

I wonder how long it will take establishment news organizations to acknowledge the ground-breaking reporting in this @AbigailShrier story.

She then links to an article from her substack newsletter with the headline “Top Trans Doctors Blow the Whistle on ‘Sloppy’ Care,” written by Abigail Shrier. Shrier is the famous author of Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters. Shrier later called the article “the most important piece of my career thus far.”

According to my word counter, this article contains 3,163 words and 19,235 characters, so there’s quite a bit to get through. However, I want to begin by noting that I find it odd this is “the most important piece” Shrier has ever written. Isn’t this the same woman who, just last year, published a book that was supposed be the effort of over two-years of research into “the transgender craze”? Yet, despite most of her sources — which, as we’ll establish in a minute, she horribly quote-mines — being public documents (she spends a large amount of this article talking about events documented on the reality show I Am Jazz) Shrier had never looked into something as important as…
