Primarily because everybody else already gives their ire to those aforementioned nations. If I write an article as an American calling the beliefs of Islam barbaric and saying their nations should be, at best, reformed into secular democracies--nobody bats an eye. Saying that Israel should become a secular state (and to Israel's credit, it is much closer to a secular state than almost all of its Islamic counterparts) is a much more controversial opinion. I tend to not write articles arguing things that the majority of people who would read them would already believe because, to put it simply, there's no point in doing so.
