I do know that if America was not meddling in the affairs of countries in the Middle East and not establishing bases and military personnel in the area they would not be subject to attack.

How the hell is building a military base nation building? For that matter, how the hell are drone strikes nation building? Seems like they do a lot of destruction, which I hear is the exact opposite of building.
