I do know that if America was not meddling in the affairs of countries in the Middle East and not establishing bases and military personnel in the area they would not be subject to attack.

And maybe if the girl wasn’t out after dark she wouldn’t have gotten raped — what’s your point? This is victim blaming, especially in a case where the people getting hurt had nothing to do with the building of the base in the first place.

I suggest we pull out of the area and let the feudal war lords and warring religious factions resolve their conflicts without external intervention.

The priority of our military budget should be defense — not nation building.

How the hell is building a military base nation building? For that matter, how the hell are drone strikes nation building? Seems like they do a lot of destruction, which I hear is the exact opposite of building.
